Incoming CSAFP visits H2ID, inspires Jungle Fighters
Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division and inspired all the Jungle Fighters with his advices on Monday, June 27, 2016, at around 8:00 in the morning.
“Let us all be professional and disciplined fighting force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,” said Lt Gen Visaya during the “Talk to Jungle Fighters” at 2ID Grandstand.
After the “Talk to Jungle Fighters” he also attended the briefing/conference at Sierra Madre Golf and Country Club (SMOCH) and gave his guidance to further strengthen the approach of 2ID in insuring peace and development within its Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Earlier, upon his arrival, the Jungle Fighters tendered him with Foyer Honors wherein MGen Romeo G Gan AFP, Commander, 2ID served as the Military Host.
He was also given a Marmol Sculpture of a Cougar which symbolizes the strategy that he developed known as the “Cougar Concept.”
Said strategy is an effective approach in addressing the enemies of the state especially the Communist Party of the Philippines – National Democratic Front – New People’s Army (CNN) and was derived from Lt Gen Visaya’s years of experience when he was with the intelligence community and applied it when he was the Commanding Officer of 69th
Infantry (Cougar) Battalion under 7ID, until he became Bde and Division Commander in 4ID, and now as an Area Commander.
According to MGen Gan, just like a cougar, Lt Gen Visaya, is strong, agile, skilled in hunting, and master of communications.
