AFP Surgeon General visits 2ID; participates in bloodletting, tree-planting activities

Dugo ng Sundalo, Karugtong ng buhay mo,” a joint activity of 2ID and Philippine Band of Mercy that showcases the never ending drive of 2ID in extending quality service to the community.
97 donors qualified on the medical screening which gathered 43,650cc of blood.
“The rank of every soldier is only ranks, but what matters most are the bloods that they are going to donate for those who need it,” said BGen Acosta.
As a military tradition, BGen Acosta was accorded with Military Honors with Colonel Dante R Barotilla GSC (INF) PA, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retirees Affairs, 2ID, PA as the Military Host
The said visit was capped with a tree-planting activity at the back of the Army Station Hospital wherein four araucaria trees were planted.
Other visitors who accompany BGen Acosta on the said visit were Colonel Rolando C. Rivera VC (GSC), Chief Veterinary Corps, AFP; Colonel Villamin F. Patricio MC (GSC), Chief Medical Corps, AFP; and Colonel Edgar S. Salvadora MAC (GSC), Chief Medical Corps, AFP.
