2ID vies for DOH Red Orchid Award

The 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division under Major General Rhoderick M Parayno AFP, Commander, 2ID, competently passed the Department of Health Red Orchid Award on September 29, 2018. The DOH Red Orchid is the search for 100% Tobacco-Free provinces, municipalities, cities, government offices, government hospitals and DOH centers for Health Development.
2ID has been enforcing the NO SMOKING POLICY since 2015 and as evident in its undertakings, the Jungle Fighters are genuinely committed to live a healthy lifestyle in an environment free from tobacco smoke. With these comprehensive efforts, 2ID applied for the said award and fortunately passed the initial screening and validation last March 2018. Recently, the validators from Department of Health headed by Ms. Maria Theresa Malubag visited the camp and conducted final document validation and site inspection. The Command has high hopes to grab the prestigious award come December 2018.
