2ID conducts Senior NCO Leaders Symposium and EW Workshop 2018
The 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division under Major General Rhoderick M Parayno AFP, Commander, 2ID conducted the 2nd Semester 2018 Senior NCO Leaders Symposium and Enlisted Women Workshop at Sierra Madre Officers Clubhouse, Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal on November 14 -16, 2018. Chief Master Sergeant Roberto D Gimenez PA, the Army Sergeant Major was the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the opening ceremony. He stated that the success of a nation’s armed forces vastly depends on its men in the frontline.
The Army Sergeant Major elaborated the difference between the old soldiers and the millennial soldiers. Considering that the latter’s attitude cannot be changed in an instant, the need for the senior NCO’s to motivate, guide and work out in instilling the military values, is vital since the military organization lives by discipline. He encouraged senior NCO’s to constantly talk with their men. The symposium aims to discuss and deliberate issues and concerns that affect or may soon challenge the morale, welfare, and discipline of the EP, to disseminate the current policies and directives on NCO Empowerment, to make sure the professionalization of EW and most especially to develop camaraderie among participants. A total of 130 participants composed of Sergeant Major, First Sergeant and EW’s representative from Infantry Brigades, Infantry Battalions and Post Units, Senior NCO’s from Tenant Units and Chief Clerks and EW representatives from the General, Special, Technical and Coordinating Staffs joined the said event.
