Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division acquired a new unit of ambulance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) which adds to the mobility and capability of 2nd
Army Station Hospital (2ASH) in transporting and in attending to the needs of all its patients.
A formal turn-over was attended by Lt Gen Ricardo R Visaya AFP, Commander, Southern Luzon Command, AFP, MGen Romeo G Gan AFP, Commander, 2ID and LTC Mateo C Modina (MC) PA, along with the executives of PCSO Mandaluyong namely, Atty Reena Yumina N Yason, Manager, Asset and Supply Management Department, and Atty Jose Ferdinand M Rojas II, General Manager on June 2, 2016 at PCSO Building, Mandaluyong City.
On the same way, a blessing of the newly acquired ambulance was held at the Division Headquarters on June 6, 2015 with Fr. Pablo R de Guzman Jr, Division Chaplain, 2ID as the Officiating Priest. It was attended by the Officers, Enlisted Personnel and Civilian Employees of 2ID.
Due to the additional ambulance, at present, the 2ASH has a 100% rate in readiness condition as per serviceability and mobility
“This initiative is a manifestation that the 2ID is continuously strengthening its partnership to various stakeholders that also advocate peace and development in order for us to extend quality service to our fellow countrymen,” said MGen Gan.
