The activity formally started early at 5:30 in the morning where runners underwent physical check up and stretching exercises before taking a sprint from 3 kilometers to 10 kilometers starting point within and outside the camp. MGen Rhoderick M Parayno AFP, Commander 2ID led the entire event and graced the awarding ceremony. Furthermore, MGen Parayno expressed his profound gratitude to the participants and sponsors who made this year's event a success. He also invited the participants to join the upcoming series of OktoberPeace 2018 activities.
1,350 runners gathered to run for peace
The 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army has recorded the most number of runners joining this year's Oktober Peace 2018 Run for Peace at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal, on October 13, 2018. A total of 1,350 registered runners composed of stakeholders from different representing municipalities in Rizal, active and retired military personnel, dependents, and civilian employees showed their support in our quest for peace.
